I really had to laugh my you-know-what off when I read the New York Times review of Guy Fieri's Guy's American Kitchen and Bar in Times Square.
As a native New Yorker, I know enough not to eat at any establishment near Times Square. But tourists don't know better.
Never liked Guy Fieri when he was on Food Network's competition show and after reading this hysterical review, my opinion hasn't changed.

i feel the same way!
never been to ny...yet but guy is so arrogant.
if he is not in his restaurant overseeing every little detail how can he ensure the quality anyway?
:)
I read the review...he was slaughtered. Not having eaten at any of his restaurants, I can't agree or disagree. It sounds like the critic got on a roll and couldn't stop.

Popping by your blog for a visit. I am so disgusted by all the Food Network personalities who may be "stars" but who aren't actual chefs and don't do anything to actually teach regular Joe's how to cook.
If I'm ever in NY, I'll remember to hop off Times Square and seek out what the locals eat. Thanks for the tip! That review was hiariious!
