Williamsburg, Brooklyn

While visiting my friend Diana who lives in Queens, we decided to take a drive to Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

I don't believe I had ever been here before. Years ago, it was not exactly a place you wanted to hang out. All that has changed. Very artsy, trendy and with that comes crazy housing prices.

For brunch, we went to Allswell, located at 124 Bedford between 10th and 11th Street. The food was pretty good but be warned. Refills of coffee and tea are not shall we say, free; you will be charged for each refill.

Here is the view from East River State Park of the east side of Manhattan.I have a feeling that during the summer, people may actually sunbath on this little stretch of sand.

There was a food festival taking place.Love supporting local businesses. This area has really been built up and is a nice spot for a walk.

The view of the Williamsburg Bridge. Just beyond, the Brooklyn Bridge.Hope you enjoyed this short tour of Williamsburg, BK.

Looks like you had a fun day! Glad to see the vendors doing so well they're selling out! Not surprised the pork was the first to go:@)

Nice images! Boy, things are getting tough when you are charged for each refill of coffee and tea! I've never heard of such a thing.

I guess the prices rise when the old becomes the "new" again. LOL

lovely post I enjoyed the Brooklyn Flea but we went on a very hot day so mostly sat by the water! I need to do a tour of Brooklyn with someone who knows the area as not at all familiar
