My Dell Laptop Crashed

I didn't know what the term "blue screen of death" meant until I experienced it the other day. My laptop just keep re-booting and each time, the dreaded blue screen would appear for a split second.

Until now.

So $200 later at Staples, I was told it was a software problem and the laptop will be restored to its orginal condition (yeah, right! - like I believe that) and all of my data will be saved and re-installed.

Don't know what I will find when I get it back in a few days.

And to think, I had "back up" listed on my to-do list as one of my things to do and just didn't get around to it.

Back up data, people.

Or, just go buy a new laptop.

I'm familiar with blue screen of death, the white and black ones too... Very frustrating! Computers are great Carmie, when they work:@)

We didn't have our Dell desk top model very long before it died on us too. We have a MAC now and I love it. I won't ever have any other computer other than a MAC now. It is so much easier than the Dell ever was to operate plus it is not as easy to pick up viruses on it.

Strangely, I get that blue screen from time to time (Dell too). I shut everything down and reboot and it's always been fine. I think it's a glitch with this laptop. I'm probably working on borrowed time...

Ugh, not cool. I hope they are right and you get everything back. I've been really lazy about backing up as well. It's just one of those things that's too easy to put off!
