It is from a decade old Cooking Light magazine and is called Mediterranean Chickpea, Tomato and Pasta Soup.
1 - Instead of ditalini, I used elbow macaroni.
2 - I eliminated parsley.
3 - Very important - I used two cans of chicken broth because if you don't, this won't be a soup but more like a stew.
I really love this soup and hope you do too.

Thank you for this recipe! I will try it. I'll substitute vegan vegetable stock for the chicken stock, and perhaps crushed tomato rather than diced. But it sounds delicious and hearty and comforting indeed!
I have everything that's needed and will give this a try-thanks:@)
Good recipe. We like winter soups here. My go to soup is always Chicken and Wild Rice soup. Yours looks good! xo Diana
Ummmmmm. I could sure use a bowl of that!!
This looks so yummy, I am definitely going to make it. Thanks for sharing!

There is seriously something so "homey" about a good vegetable soup...this sounds so YUMMY!
p.s. the answer to your questions (i replied on my blog but I never know if people read that part) I would have to say duck tape hehe.
Oh, yum. That's pretty much all I have to say. :)
This reminds me a bit of a recipe I tried out recently (a pasta fazool recipe) and 2 out of my 4 kids only liked it when I added more broth to theirs. They liked it more like a soup. I'd like to try this recipe out.
I posted a recipe today for WFMW, too: Sweet Bacon Chicken
