Missoni Fashion Frenzy at Target

I am not a fan of Missoni's style in general. There are other Italian designers that I like.

But. I was curious to see what all the fuss was about with their new line for Target. So, I went to Target on Tuesday, the day the lower-priced Missoni line was to debut. I arrived at 9am and the store was decimated. Not much of anything was left.

I did see a few women with fully loaded shopping carts. It was dumbfounding to me.

I heard that eBay has been swarmed with Missoni for Target goods. Wow.

Not sad that I missed out on the goods. Not sad at all.

What about you? Did you buy anything?

I'm actually a pretty major fan of Missoni ;) They are such an astounding name, I still can't believe they made a line for Target! It's no surprise to me that people are this excited, and that most of the pieces have already sold out. It's sad...there were so many things I wanted, boo hoo.

I don't really know Missoni, but what I saw for Target, personally isn't my style at all! But each to their own. Seems everything went a little crazy, shame for those who genuinely wanted to get some pieces, there will be a few people making a 'killing' on ebay!

I guess if you are a fan of stripes, it's appealing. Not for me. I'm more of a Land's End/LLBean kind of girl.

I must be totally "out of it." I didn't even hear about it until it was over and the site crashing was big news. I would not have gone anyway. Their PR certainly knows how to create an event!

I am reading all about the craziness and don't get it either ~ It totally isn't my style but apparently it is HOT!

I was slow on the go... My dd called and told me she bought something of his online and I was like "huh" then FB lit up with all the talk... So no I am not a fan...but I love when people get excited about gives me a sense of JOY!!

I heard about Missoni doing a line for Target from another blog and I saw the designers on MSNBC last week...mother, daughter and grandmother. I knew it was coming mid September but did not go. I heard that stores were completely sold out.

While I have heard of Missoni, I'm not a huge fan of stripes and prefer other Italian and French designers. It's amazing to me that people would grab everything so quickly...some no doubt will purchase and re-sale on E-Bay!

While I do like the Missoni style, I don't care for Target. Now don't get me wrong, I can totally spend some serious money there on their home goods, but their clothes are just cheaply made and don't last. I never buy any clothes from there for myself, my husband, or the kids. The stuff shrinks, doesn't hold it's shape, and generally just falls apart. I doubt the Missoni brand is any different. But, to each his own.

I personally didn't care for the line. I had to go to Target for some essentials yesterday and at 12 noon they were wiped out of everything but some hair clips.

Just read this about Target and the Missoni line. Ugh!

Is there no place we can turn for guiltless goods not manufactured on the backs of abused people?

Makes me want to grow a cotton field and make my own clothes! :-)

I didn't even know this was happening until I saw something on someone elses blog. Lol.

I was only able to score some headbands. 2 skinny plastics ones for $10. The whole line is pretty expensive for Target if you ask me.
