The Beginnings of a Guest Room Makeover

Well, not quite yet.

I am the kind of person who sits with a project for a while.

I think. I dream. I research.

And, after being inspired by so many great bloggers who paint and sand and makeover rooms with great thrift, I decided to tackle my guest bedroom and make it into a real home office.

Inspiration is everywhere.I began by removing the bed that was in the guest room.

Every office needs bookshelves and I had old bookshelves in the garage that will serve the purpose.

Over the weekend, I cleaned every piece with a damp old t-shirt and then sanded the pieces and then cleaned them again.I am going with a glossy white so my next step is to paint them, after purchasing said paint of course.

Let's hope I get this done before the first snowfall :)
