I am the kind of person who sits with a project for a while.
I think. I dream. I research.
And, after being inspired by so many great bloggers who paint and sand and makeover rooms with great thrift, I decided to tackle my guest bedroom and make it into a real home office.
Inspiration is everywhere.
I began by removing the bed that was in the guest room.Every office needs bookshelves and I had old bookshelves in the garage that will serve the purpose.
Over the weekend, I cleaned every piece with a damp old t-shirt and then sanded the pieces and then cleaned them again.
Let's hope I get this done before the first snowfall :)

Can't wait to see the final result :-)
HA HA HA. I just started a painting project of my own. I am painting my dining room chairs and the base of a table with Annie Sloan Paint. I painted one chair today and plan to hopefully paint two tomorrow and finish with the last chair and base of the table Friday or Saturday with the first coat of Paris Grey paint THEN re-paint them with Old White, THEN wax them with a clear wax and finish up using a dark wax in areas I want to highlight. I too, hope I finish by winter. LOL LOL
Can't wait to see the results.
