When I was in high school, I remember tweezing my brows and making my parents so upset as they thought I had beautiful eyebrows.
With Brooke Shields as my eyebrow idol, I have always liked fuller brows.
Back in 2001, before Anastasia, there was Eliza Petrescu.
At the time, she had a salon at Trump Tower and since I was working across the street, I decided to book an appointment.
5 months! That is how long it took to get an appointment with her. When I arrived, in her Russian accent she asked me, "Why are you here? You have beautiful eyebrows."
After waiting 5 months, she better pluck something!
Althought she gave me a beautiful eyebrow wax, I never went back. It was over $50!
So, on the spur of the moment, after leaving my hair salon last week, I saw a tiny Indian woman threading and decided to give it a try.
It was amazing! I am awestruck and will never, ever go back to waxing!
Less painful than waxing, electrolysis or laser hair removal (I have tried all).
I did feel the string pulling out the hairs but it took less than 5 minutes and the shape is amazing and still full.
I am hooked and will definitely go back to her. And, it was only $10 !!!!
Have you tried threading?

Hi, I live in Australia and had heard that threading was great. While away on a holiday I went to get my waxing done and the Indian lady offered me threading for my eyebrows instead. I jumped at the opportunity to try it!! Needless to say I LOVED IT!! Since coming home I havent found anyone who does it but I soon as I do there will be no more waxing for me.
I absolutely agree with your post! Its the best.
I have been wanting to try it but haven't yet ~ You have totally given me that little push that I needed ~
I'm considering giving this a try too. I'm all for no scaring and being less painful.
I have heard of threading but never trie it. I almost did last year but didn't. i think I might try it now after watching the video! Thanks for sharing!
It's fantastic, I love the even shaping.
I used to do it all the time when I lived in NY. I found it way more painful than waxing (tears streaming down my face) but it's more precise and lasts longer.
New follower from the Thursday hop.
very nice! FYI, Eliza Petrescu is either Romanian or Moldavian, but not Russian :)
