End of Summer GIVEAWAY Celebrating 400, 500, 600 Followers!

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

Can you believe it? Whoo hoo!

Let's celebrate!

In the past, after every hundred followers that I reach, I have hosted a giveaway.

After a lazy busy few months, I am celebrating not only reaching 400 or 500 followers, but 600!

And why not celebrate the end of summer too with the following giveaway . . .
One lucky winner will receive a set of coastal-themed notecards, votive holder, notepad and Dressed to Grill, a fun bbq cookbook. Not only will one follower receive these items, but a few others as well that I have not included in the photo - kinda like a surprise.

All you have to do is leave a comment sharing your favorite summer memory and upon winning the giveaway, blog about it.

Multiple entries and any entry that does not share some summer love will be deleted. US entries only.

My giveaway ends Friday, August 26, 2011 at 5pm EST.

Good luck everyone and thank you for following my blog!!

I love the image of the girl on the cookbook. I think my favorite summer memory would be introducing my granddaughter to Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Now we have a new tradition ~ we go there after I meet her Mom on the day I keep her. It's a "sweet" memory. Thanks for the chance to win.

What a fun give-away! My favorite so far has to be treating folks to the goodies I've canned from the garden! Big smiles all around:@)

my favorite memory this summer was definitely spent with my god-daughter and niece. She is two now and learning to sign while she's learning to talk. Her tiny voice and the signs together crack em up in a huge smile EVERY time!

Thanks for hosting this giveaway Carmie! My favorite summer memory would absolutely have to be spending time with my baby Cinder, who sits in my lap as I type this :) I just love her so much, she's always my favorite "memory".

I've really got into canning jams and fruits the past few summers. SO I have to say that is the best thing about summer for me. The jars lined up with yummy tastes to share and enjoy when the dark winter days are upon us.

I love your idea of having a giveaway for every 100 followers.

Sigh. I have been stuck at 132 followers for a long while. However, I celebrate your success!

My favorite summer memory is our wine cruise to Mexico. I enjoyed seeing my husband so relaxed.

I just found your blog via Uncommon Slice of Suburbia.

My fave memory is everyday since school has been out - my son is 13 and this is the first year I was not working. It was fablous. He actually told me it was his best summer - beating any camp he's been to.

We put in a fire pit this year, and my favorite memories are the evenings we sat around it making smores and catching fireflies. Pure bliss! Thanks for the lovely giveaway - I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Summer reminds me of Rose ice dollies! Sounds exotic? Trust me it was a trick. Every summer, my sister used to step up and make ice dollies for us- the drill? We make her bed and she makes us "ice-dollies". And those ice dollies were plain sugar syrup, infused with rose essence. Punto. We were so innocent and humble, we used to praise her for that and would trade anything for that after school. Now that we are all grown up, we make our own ice dollies in summer and talk over the telephone! We were such fools.

I had a marvelous weekend, last week, in the Adirondacks, with my daughter & sister. We stayed at "camp", which was once the home of my Dad & Step Mom, who both passed away from cancer a couple of years ago. Everything is pretty much as they left it, including the two chairs they sat in to watch the sun go down. Everything smells of balsam, we drank wine, and laughed around the campfire. Every time I saw a hummingbird, I thought of my step mom who loved them so much. We finished off the weekend by stopping at "The Red Barn", antique and junk shopping. Good memories all the way around

Love the notecards! They remind me of the summers of my youth.

My favorite summer memories are legion considering I grew up in Virginia Beach, VA and now call America's heartland "home". I suppose if I had to name something, it wouldn't necessarily be a specific memory, but more of the sights, sounds, smells, and feelings that remain with me still... The salty tang of ocean air mixing with the tropical scent of suntan lotion... The warmth of the sun on my shoulders and the gritty sand between my toes... The comforting roar of the waves breaking against the shore while the seagulls cry in the wind... All I have to do is close my eyes and even surrounded by cornfields, I can be there.

Love following your blog! I now have an appointment for eyebrow threading! LOL!

Love your blog! My favorite summer memory was reaching my 40th Wedding Anniversary to the LOVE of my life. Included in this milestone was a Wedding Vow Renewal and a very lovely party hosted by my wonderful daughter. Hope everyone else had a great summer too, filled with lots of good memories.

Just discovered your blog tonight! Totally enjoying it.

As for a favorite summer memory, it would probably be introducing my son and daughter (who were 3 and 1) at the time to the beach. They were so adorable playing in the sand. Not only were they being introduced to the beach but to a new place to live as well as we had just moved to Guam. :)
