May You Always Have a Shell in Your Pocket

I, like many, collect seashells. And I do have lots. Most are from my local beach which doesn't have lots of diverse or big shells. But, I always find something spectacular that the sea leaves behind.

They are everywhere in my home. Jars, bowls, dishes . . .

Here are some from my collection.Does anyone know what these tiny shells are? What about you? Do you collect seashells and what creative ways do you use to store them?

in every grain of sand,
there is the story of the earth."

You have a fantastic collection of shells! I'm lucky to live just a few minutes from our beach and have collected a pretty nice selection, although at the moment we're trying to keep everything out the way of our kiddos! I need to think about displaying them higher up somehow!

No idea what those little shells are called but they look great!

Love your shells! I happened upon 100's of 2-3" peach colored conch shells on the beach after a storm in Wildwood many years ago... actually found a washed up bucket and gathered as many as I could and made Christmas ornaments out of them-very pretty:@)

I always seem to pick up a shell or two when I'm lucky enough to find myself at the ocean! Uncreatively I keep them in a square glass vase.

What I tuly am addicted to is finding/collecting sea glass! Coincidentally just caught an old Martha show the other day where she talked about how to tell the age of the seaglass by the color/type of glass and then she made little mobiles hanging off drift wood, which you could probably do with shells too!

What a nice collection...they are really pretty! I don't have a lot but I keep them in glass cloches or even simple jars with some jute ties. We collect shells whenever we are on vacation, so they are from all over!
