I Love Outdoor Showers. Do You?

Have you ever taken a shower outdoors? Like a real shower with shampoo and great smelling soap, not just a rinse?

Well, I have and I love it!My first outdoor shower experience was at a summer rental down the shore, yes in Jersey but not that Jersey Shore . . . the nicer part of the Jersey Shore.

I never forgot it. It was a simply constructed contraption but the water was hot and the sky above was blue.

It was similar to this photo but not really. It was kind of rickety. But I so loved it.I think there is something kind of sexy about an outdoor shower.I wish I had an outdoor shower outside my home. I would literally shower in it in every season.

Really. I would.

What about you? Do you use outdoor showers?

Love when I stay at a shore house with an outdoor shower too. It always feels a bit "naughty." And it's very refreshing too, especially after the sandy beach.

I love them! my one experience at a REAL spa had an outdoor shower. there was even no door, it was just a huge spiral with tiny tiles and the water rained down from above. pure decadence!

Yes! Have several friends with outdoor showers and they are great! I left a couple of questions on your post about the jars. Such a great idea!

Totally agree! Oh, to be at the beach right now where you only get that luxury of an outdoor shower. Aaahhh!

Love them. Our beach house has one built onto the back of the house with the same siding used on the house and even has a bench and a built in shelf for soap, etc. We don't even use the indoor showers when we're there. It is so refreshing.

I love the idea of an outdoor shower, especially for the beach because I hate sand anywhere but at the beach :-)

What do you mean? Naked? :O I have never, although I've never seen one except in pictures. I'd probably be too busy checking to make sure no one was looking in, Carmie!

Hi Carmie!

I apologize for the typo of your blog name, it's been corrected. Upon correcting it, I realized that I also didn't link back to you blog! That has also been corrected. I love your jars and I'm so happy that you shared them. I hope you have a nice weekend, Mary :O)

If you want to add a professional touch while installing the outdoor shower, then you need to seek the advice of a professional home decorator on the best outdoor shower design to select.

I live in Florida and have seen many people with outdoor showers and have used a few of them myself. I will say when I buy a house, if it doesn't already have an outdoor shower, it will soon after I moved in.
