I must say, I was really excited to pull this cookbook off my shelf - The Farmstead Egg Cookbook by Terry Golson.
I purchased this cookbook about 3 years ago from Amazon. It was a "bargain book" and cost me under $5. I recently looked up the book and the price starts at $65! WOW!
I chose one of my favorite pasta dishes ever - Spaghetti alla Carbonara.
It was delicious but I needed to hit it with some extra virgin olive oil when I plated the dish because it was a bit dry.
I can't wait to try more recipes from this cookbook. I think Ms. Golson did an awesome job!

Yum! I love the photo on the book cover. My hens give me all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors too, and they all taste wonderful.
Favorite thing with eggs? Hmm ... I love a good egg salad sandwich, and of course deviled eggs are another favorite.

Wow, it looks delicious! But even that book is beautiful - great find! (my egg choice? quiche or omelette)
Oh Carmie, This dish takes me back a couple of decades when my dad made this for us. It was delicious back then and every now and then when I don't know what to cook, I throw this together. It's still delicious. Great choice and thanks for the reminder that I need to try it again. I didn't even know it had a name! ☺

Thanks for mentioning my book! It's out of print. (I don't see a penny from those crazy prices on Amazon.) I'm hoping to get the copyright rights back this spring. Would like to get it back into print. Meanwhile, I post recipes once in awhile on myblog - and you can watch my hens at www.hencam.com.
