After seeing so many creative blog projects with decorative punches and scrapbook paper, I decided to make some butterfly artwork for their rooms.
Butterflies have a certain significance for them and their dad so these gifts had extra-special meaning.
I used a tan frame purchased at ACMoore and a black IKEA frame. Glue Dots, a butterfly punch and various scrapbook paper to match their rooms.
Here are the results.
Not too shabby if I say so myself. And, fairly straight for not using a grid.

VERY CUTE IDEA. THEY TURNED OUT GREAT..
Great project. It would be so easy for someone to recreate using papers that coordinate with their own decor. My teen daughter's room is in lilac, black and white. I think this would look great in her room using variations on her color scheme. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great job, Carmie! I'd probably need a grid to get them straight otherwise they would be all over, as if someone startled them into flight. ; )
That is so adorable! I love butterflies!
This is beautiful and such a great idea!!
I LOVE how simple this idea is! It turned out really great too. As soon as I get some more scrapbook paper, I intend to make a version of my own. Thanks for the inspiration!

Great idea! If one were to use cotton batting to put the butterflies on, it would look like a specimen box of real butterflies. I love your choice of colors, too.
Love this idea AND I love butterflies. I am working on a project in my kids' bathrooms - I wonder if I could find an owl punch?
I love the papers you used, it looks fab!
