It is his 50th birthday.
A milestone.
A special birthday.
I hope that he is having a big 'ol party in heaven for his first birthday away from us.
He deserves it.
This is a birthday card I purchased for him and laminated to put at his grave today.
"A lot of words unspoken.
Affection unexpressed.
Still, I hope you know it . . . as a brother, you're the best."

Happy Birthday Brother!

Girl, I am sure he is having a blast in heaven! Especially knowing that so many people love him here on earth.
For my diabetic grandmother's first birthday away from us I imagined her eating a big ol' chocolate cake, surrounded by all the people that had gone before her.
I'm sure your brother was having a wonderful birthday, surrounded by those loved ones that had gone before, and knowing just how much you all love and miss him.

I am very sorry for your loss. I'm sure you keep your brother alive in your happy memories. happy birthday in heaven to him!
Oh, tough day for you. Lovely posting, though.
A happy birthday prayer said for your brother!!!
How nice to hear from you! Reading back, I see what a difficult time you have been going through. That is what makes me mad that I couldn't keep up with my "Reader". I missed this and want to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I have lost both of my parents and the word "lost" is how I still feel. I have 2 older brothers and cannot imagine...Prayers for you on this difficult day.

I'm so sorry I missed when you posted this. Milestones like birthdays are so hard when someone has passed away. Acknowledging the day and celebrating his memory is a healthy way to start the healing process.
