Why, you may ask? Well, I FINALLY found something at a thrift store!
I donate a lot of items to the thrift store at my church. The nuns are always so nice even if they marked my receipt April 26 when it was actually March.
As I turned to leave, I spotted this:
Now, some of you might be thinking, "So what. Big deal." I hear ya. But, you don't understand! I never find ANYTHING! I read all of these blogs where people are finding incredible things at every turn. I never find anything. Until the other day when I found this cream-colored ceramic urn for $1.50.
I couldn't wait to get her home, wash her and add her to my collection.
Yeah for me.

Yay! I know what you mean, I never find anything, at least not when I actually have money. Sigh.
Score! It's really pretty and looks much 'pricier' than what you paid!
I'm also one who never finds 'anything.' I certainly don't find antiques or vintage stuff. I think it's because of where I live (Long Island)--people either hoard things in their attics or they want a bazillion dollars for granny's old chamberpot.
i totally hear ya! everyone's goodwill seems to be this mecca, and mine is severly lacking in decor, and what is there is overpriced. bah!

Awesome find! I don't find as many great deals as others. But I have found tons of stuff at the Goodwill store. Just this past weekend found looking new curtains and they are now hanging in my living room. $10 for 2 panels!

Great find! At my thrift stores, now that spring is approaching and everyone is doing "spring" cleaning, the finds are getting better.
And I thought I was the only one. I keep looking at things I'm throwing away, donating, or freecycling and thinking - how does someone make a treasure from this trash? You found a treasure - good for you.
Lol! I love this post because I feel the same way sometimes. My Goodwill is okay but the prices are never as good as what some people post on here. Argh!

Don't give up you got a great deal on a fabulous piece and there are sure to be many more. Just remember practice practice practice, keep trying and look past the obvious to the beauty underneath. Some times wit a little TLC you can take an ugly duckling and make it into a beautiful swan.

Nice find! I NEVER find anything either...even at yard sales. Of course, I'm not willing to be there at the crack of dawn either, so I just stopped going.

What a great find. I like you never find those great finds. Here where I live, on California's Central Coast, even the thrift stores and Goodwill are expensive.

I know what you mean! I'm always seeing bloggers with beautiful redos and I'm totally jealous. But, the one time I did see a little stand with drawers for $5, and couldn't convince myself to buy it because we're going to be moving this year and I didn't want to buy things I might not have a place for. I'm really kicking myself now. lol
Ugh, I never find anything either! This gives me hope...

Congratulations on scoring a great find! I would have picked that up too. Sometimes the quality of items at a thrift store all depends on the neighborhood of donors. You might want to check some different ones.

Great find! After finding a few things you will be hooked like the rest of us. I can hardly pass a thrift shop without it calling my name.Check out my last post. I reeled that find in in 10 mins. I'm hopeless when it comes to vintage!
I think it's lovely- and the price? Couldn't be better! I always have a hard time finding good bargains. Everyone around here thinks that every piece of "vintage" must be worth a million dollars just because it's old, lol! Happy VTT!
