Whatcha Reading?

I love to read and I have lots of books. One day, I will post a photo of my "library."

I probably should be reading my magazines that are quickly piling up, but I am really into the book you see in the picture - "Girls of Riyadh" by Rajaa Alsanea. It is loosely "Sex in the City - Saudi style." It follows four friends as they navigate the strict rules on dating in Saudi Arabia and their desire to be more westernized. Purchased in the bargain aisle of Barnes & Noble.

Nothing like a cup of tea with a good read. My favorite is Prince of Wales tea. If I can't have my prince (yet), might as well drink me some. I do love the mug too. I got it for $1.50 at The Christmas Tree Shops. It is my favorite color - turquoise.

What are you currently reading? What is taking you away at the moment?

"You can never get a cup of tea large enough,
or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis

Oh, I totally love to read too! I told a British co-worker one time that Jane Austen was my fave and she said, "You don't get out much, do you?" I don't care. LOVE ME some Jane Austen.

My current guilty pleasure is the Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) series. They're a way fun read and there are tons of books in the series. My less embarrassing read at the moment is the Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver. Really good!

If I could stay home and read ALL DAY LONG I would die a happy woman.

Currently reading, When Madeline Was Young by Jane Hamilton as a personal read, and for my book group I am just starting The Book of Salt by Monique T. D. Truong.

Oh you are making me hate that I am at work right now instead of reading!

Meg, how dare that British lady! I would have taken my Jane Austen's and shoved them where the British sun never shines :)

That book does sound pretty interesting, I think it's going to have to go on my list.
I'm currently reading, Echo In The Bone, the latest in the Outlander series by Diane Gabaldon. And usually accompanied by a cup of Barry's tea in the afternoon and a glass of wine at night =)

I have never tried Prince of Wales tea, I will have to rectify that omission!
I'm reading Sense and Sensibility right now... am planning to work my way through all the Austens in order.

Hey, I'm popping over from New Friend Friday! I LOVE to read, and I also quite enjoy a nice cup of tea with it. I hardly ever have time for either these days, but my book club books sitting on my shelf (which I have about 3 weeks to read both) are Stardust (LOVED the movie) and Stop Dressing your Six-Year-Old like a Skank (that's a title that grabs ya!). I generally love SF/Fantasy and a good chick-lit. :)
I can't pick a fave tea. I love Tension Tamer and Madagascar Vanilla Red by Celestial Seasonings and also Stash makes an excellent licorice tea I can't seem to find any more of...
