Every Palm Sunday, my family and I place a Palm Cross at my mom's grave for Palm Sunday.

I always purchase a plain one because I like to personalize the cross myself. Plus, the decorated Palm Crosses in the store are
cheesy not that nice. My mom liked to craft and I remember her belonging to a group called Home Extension, when I was young. So, I feel that decorating it myself is a way to honor her. What do you think?
"But from this earth, this grave this dust, My God shall raise me up, I trust."

it's very very pretty :)
It looks very nice. What a special way to honor your Mom.
Looking at the picture of your cross and reading the story behind it makes me cry. I think it's lovely and I'm sure your mother would feel honored to be remembered in such a lovely and crafty way.
What a lovely act of remembrance.
I do the same! My Mom never liked the store embellished crosses, so I would search for the plain or take off the plastic lily because I would imagine her not being too pleased with it! Yours is lovely and a perfect remembrance! I'm a NY-er, too!

What a beautiful and thoughtful cross for your Mom:)
Blessings,

i think it is absolutely lovely & such a nice way to honor your mom.
I think to carry one something that someosne enjoyed doing, even in a small way, is to remember them properly. My mum celebrated EVERYTHING with cream cakes. On my birthday and on hers, my husband and I now have cream cakes.
It is the best way to remember.
That is an awesome cross. I was looking for some palm projects for our catachism class on Sunday. We ended up making little rosette type things. If you don't mind, I'd love to show the kids a picture of the cross you made. I think they would be in awe!

So beautiful. And I'm sure it means more since you decorate it yourself.
I love this tradition. I don't live close enough to visit my moms grave (its a few states away, and my family has since moves) but when I do make it back there, I think I will bring something like this with me.
That is a sweet, thoughtful and special reminder of your mom. I hope you have a very happy Easter, thanks for linking up to Wednesday Gratitude!

We hand out small simple palm crosses at church but I never saw one like this. I wonder where I would buy one for my son's grave? it's a lovely idea.
